Staying safe

Things people sometimes notice

  • Waking early and alert the first week, which settles
  • Puffy hands or ankles and a little water weight in the first weeks
  • Stiff or achy joints, especially mornings
  • Redness or itch at the injection site
  • A warm flush after the shot

Stop and get help if (trouble breathing or swelling: call 911)

  • Numb, tingling or painful hands and wrists that do not ease in a few days (carpal tunnel from fluid)
  • Swelling that keeps building rather than settling
  • Blood sugar running high on a home meter, or new thirst and frequent urination
  • Signs of an allergic reaction

Talk to your doctor first, especially if

  • You have diabetes or prediabetes; GH raises blood sugar and your readings can shift within weeks
  • You have cancer now or have had it. These peptides push growth and repair signals, so this is a hard stop, not a judgment call.
  • You have a pituitary problem or take corticosteroids or thyroid medicine, which interact with GH release
  • You are pregnant, nursing, or under 25 with growth plates that may still be open

Mixing it

Here is the math for a 10 mg vial mixed with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water (1 ml per 5 mg on this one), taking a 2 mg dose.

Bring the vial to room temperature and clean the top.

Add 2 ml of room-temperature bacteriostatic water slowly.

Swirl gently, do not shake.

Take it at night on an empty stomach.

Store in the fridge. Use within about 2 to 3 weeks once mixed.
