Staying safe
Things people sometimes notice
- A warm, flushed feeling for a few minutes after the shot
- Vivid dreams and heavier sleep in the first weeks
- A little redness or a bump at the injection site
- Mild morning stiffness or puffy hands if the dose is on the high side
Stop and get help if (trouble breathing or swelling: call 911)
- Tingling or numbness in the hands that lasts into the day (carpal tunnel from water retention)
- Joint pain or swelling that gets worse week to week
- Hives or swelling of the face or lips
Talk to your doctor first, especially if
- You have diabetes or prediabetes, because growth hormone pushes blood sugar up and you need a number to compare against
- You have cancer now or have had it. These peptides push growth and repair signals, so this is a hard stop, not a judgment call.
- You take thyroid medicine or steroids, which change how the pituitary responds to GHRH
- You have an active pituitary condition; the whole mechanism runs through it
Mixing it
Here is the math for a 5 mg vial mixed with 1 ml of bacteriostatic water, taking a 200 mcg dose.
Bring the vial to room temperature and clean the top.
Add 1 ml of bacteriostatic water slowly.
Swirl gently, do not shake.
Take it at night on an empty stomach.
Store in the fridge. Use within about 3 to 4 weeks once mixed.
