HGH (Somatropin) dosage and reconstitution
Real growth hormone. Leaner, better recovery and sleep at 1 to 2 IU a day, well tolerated. Watch blood sugar and fluid; not with cancer.
Staying safe
Things people sometimes notice
- Puffy hands, ankles or face in the first weeks, settling as the dose is dialed in
- Joint stiffness, usually in the mornings
- Mild tingling in the fingers at night, which means the dose is at your limit
- A small rise in fasting glucose
- Tiredness in the first week
Stop and get help if (trouble breathing or swelling: call 911)
- Carpal-tunnel tingling or numbness that persists or wakes you, until you drop the dose
- Thirst, frequent urination or blurry vision, which are high blood sugar signs
- Swelling that keeps building, or shortness of breath
- Hives, swelling of the face or trouble breathing
Talk to your doctor first, especially if
- You have cancer now or have had it. These peptides push growth and repair signals, so this is a hard stop, not a judgment call.
- You have diabetes or prediabetes; HGH raises blood sugar and lowers insulin sensitivity, so dosing should be guided by glucose and HbA1c
- You have sleep apnea, heart disease or significant fluid problems; fluid retention makes all of these worse
- You have an untreated thyroid or adrenal condition; HGH can unmask low thyroid and cortisol
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding; no data
Mixing it
Branded somatropin usually comes in a pre-filled pen or a vial-and-diluent kit you mix gently. Research-grade powder is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water and injected subcutaneously. HGH is delicate, so mix gently and keep it cold. Use the calculator for your vial's IU.
Bring the vial to room temperature and clean the top.
Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the side of the vial; do not spray it onto the powder.
Swirl very gently or roll the vial. Never shake, it can damage the hormone.
Inject subcutaneously, often in the evening to mirror natural release.
Keep reconstituted HGH refrigerated and use within the window on your product.
