Selank dosage and reconstitution
Takes the edge off anxiety without the fog or the hook of a sedative. Approved in Russia, usually a nasal spray, felt the same day.
Staying safe
Things people sometimes notice
- A mild sting or runny nose for a few minutes after a spray
- Feeling a little flat or tired on the first few days, which usually passes
- Being more alert than you wanted at bedtime if you dosed late
- An occasional brief headache
Stop and get help if (trouble breathing or swelling: call 911)
- Hives, swelling of the face or lips, or trouble breathing
- A mood change that worries you: feeling flat, irritable or low in a way that is new
- Anxiety getting worse rather than better after the first week
Talk to your doctor first, especially if
- You take an antidepressant, an anti-anxiety medicine or a benzodiazepine; Selank acts on overlapping systems, and a prescriber should know before any dose change on either side
- You have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, depression or bipolar disorder; Selank is for the edge, not a replacement for treatment
- You take an immunosuppressant, since Selank keeps some of tuftsin's immune activity
- You are pregnant, nursing or trying to be; not studied
Mixing it
Selank is usually used as a nasal spray. If you have a vial of powder, it is mixed with bacteriostatic water and often loaded into a nasal applicator. Use the calculator for your exact vial size.
Bring the vial to room temperature and clean the top.
Add bacteriostatic water per your vial size.
Swirl gently until dissolved.
Transfer to a nasal applicator if using the spray route.
Store in the fridge. Use within a few weeks once mixed.
