ARA-290 dosage and reconstitution
For nerve pain that burns or tingles and will not settle. Built from EPO without the blood effects; small human trials, slow build.
Staying safe
Things people sometimes notice
- A little redness where you inject
- Mild tiredness in the first week
- Slight lightheadedness right after a dose, which passes
Stop and get help if (trouble breathing or swelling: call 911)
- Hives, swelling or trouble breathing
- New or worsening numbness or weakness, since that is not what improvement looks like
- Any reaction that spreads over two days
Talk to your doctor first, especially if
- You have a blood or clotting disorder; it was built to avoid EPO's red-cell effect, but nobody has tested it in those conditions
- You take immunosuppressants for sarcoidosis or an autoimmune disease; the trials ran it alongside standard care, but your doctor should know
- You are pregnant, nursing or trying to be; no safety data
Mixing it
Here is the math for a 10 mg vial mixed with 3 ml of bacteriostatic water (the most the vial takes), taking a 2 mg dose.
Bring the vial to room temperature and clean the top with alcohol.
Add 3 ml of bacteriostatic water slowly down the side.
Swirl gently, do not shake.
Inject subcutaneously (subQ) once a day.
Store in the fridge. Use within about 3 to 4 weeks once mixed.
A little cloudiness after mixing is normal for Ara-290, it is typical for this one and not a sign anything is wrong.
