VIP dosage and reconstitution

A nasal spray that finishes a mold-illness protocol: fog lifts, exercise comes back. Only works late in the sequence, so not a first move.

UnderstandWhat it isApplyHow to use it
How much
Gentle
50 mcg
Standard
50 mcg
Higher
100 mcg

Used as a nasal spray.

How often
4 times a day, alternating nostrils
Ramp up?
Yes — start low and work up as your body adjusts.
How long
30 to 90 days, tapering toward zero
Then
Taper down rather than a hard break

The aim is to need less over time, so instead of a hard stop you taper toward zero as symptoms settle.

Heads up: these are the doses people commonly follow, not a prescription for you. For peptides that ramp up, the schedule shows the week-by-week climb instead of a single steady number.

Staying safe

Things people sometimes notice

  • Lightheadedness or a drop in blood pressure in the first week, especially standing up fast; this is why you start at one spray a day
  • Flushing or a warm face for a few minutes after a spray
  • Nasal irritation, a runny nose or a brief metallic taste

Stop and get help if (trouble breathing or swelling: call 911)

  • Fainting, severe dizziness or blood pressure readings well below your normal; VIP widens blood vessels and that is not something to push through
  • Upper-abdominal pain, nausea or a rising lipase on bloodwork; the protocol checks lipase because VIP can irritate the pancreas
  • Chest discomfort, wheezing or trouble breathing, or any rash, hives or swelling
  • Symptoms getting clearly worse, which usually means an earlier protocol step is unfinished

Talk to your doctor first, especially if

  • You have not had a CIRS workup (VCS test, the inflammatory marker panel, a MARCoNS culture), because VIP out of sequence is the most common reason it fails and the protocol is built on those labs
  • You have low blood pressure, a heart condition or take blood pressure medicines, since the vasodilating effect stacks
  • You have a history of pancreatitis or elevated lipase, which the protocol screens for before and during use
  • You have asthma or a lung condition, because VIP acts on airway tone and the pulmonary trials showed both benefit and side effects

Mixing it

VIP is usually a nasal spray. If you have a powder vial, it is mixed and loaded into a nasal applicator. Use the calculator for your vial size. VIP is delicate, so handle gently.

Bring the vial to room temperature and clean the top.

Add bacteriostatic water per your vial size.

Swirl very gently, do not shake.

Transfer to a nasal applicator. Start low and watch how you feel.

Store in the fridge and use within a couple weeks once mixed.
